ABOUT US

The Town has been quite responsive to the needs of its citizens. There are two seniors complexes, playground, softball field, basketball court, Rowsell's Hill hiking trail, a municipal park with overnight camping, Otter Pond Park with a boardwalk surrounding the pond, general stores, gas stations, take out restaurants, a public library, a post office, fire hall, ambulance service, and a war memorial.  Adults are involved in church leagues, fun & fitness group, fire department, and various other organizations.  Point Leamington is the educational centre for the area as it has the high school and the students are bused the distance from the outlying areas.

Point Leamington has a great interest in tourism and in 1997 opened a Heritage Centre to encourage visitors to the area and to begin preserving the past and present  history of the community.

For those who love the outdoors the Town has much to offer in the way of sport salmon fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, or snowmobiling.

For a relaxing drive "off the beaten path", Point Leamington offers scenic views, relaxation and friendliness to all visitors.
